Kayla Samoy is a journalist living in Chicago where she works as a news associate with the Associated Press covering the midwest with a particular focus on South Dakota, Indiana and Texas.

She graduated from the University of Arizona in May of 2015, with a major in Journalism and a minor in Film & TV. Here you can find examples of her journalistic work in print, radio and multimedia.

Kayla has worked as a Pulliam Fellow and Digital Trends Reporter for The Arizona Republic, a NASA Space Grant Intern covering technology commercialization for the business desk at the Arizona Daily Star, an in-studio production assistant and News Director at UATV (the University of Arizona’s student run television station), a news reporter and a copy editor for the Arizona Daily Wildcat, a radio news apprentice at Arizona Public Media, an intern at Inside Tucson Business, a reporter for the Arizona Sonora News Service and an investigative apprentice for the Arizona Daily Star.
